While you’re here, we have a question for you: Do you know where you’re going?
The reason we ask this is a very simple one. People are on the road to somewhere, even if they don’t know where “somewhere” exactly is. Most live without any direction, and their life is haphazard. Then there are those who yearn for meaning in life, and even grasp a need to learn about spiritual things. These people often embark on a “journey” to understand more about what life is really about.
While it’s great to learn and experience new things, the important thing to know is this: All journeys must come to an end. A journey, by definition, is the passage from one place to another. A journey, or search, for the truth will end in the proper place. To say a that a journey “never ends” would mean that the search was, and never will be, a journey at all! Such an undertaking is wandering, going from place to place and ignoring the obvious signs that do point to the truth.
The bottom line? A true search for the truth will end in Jesus Christ!
It is in Jesus that the journey ends in understanding the truth: that wayward humanity can find peace, rest, meaning and eternal life in God’s Son.
Yes, the journey ends
in Christ! The search for truth
brings us to Jesus, and our new home is now the Lord.
