Statement
of Faith

We
believe that the Bible, the 66 books of the Old and New
Testament, is the revealed and complete Word of God. We
believe that it is inspired, and therefore inerrant, infallible, and
thus authoritative. Therefore, we regard the Bible as our
supreme standard for belief and conduct.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons, Father,
Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in God the Father, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom,
measureless in power. We rejoice that He concerns Himself
mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and
that He saves from sin, death, and eternal damnation all who come to
Him through Jesus Christ.
We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, truly God and
truly man, who was born of the Virgin Mary and who was sinless in His
life. We believe by His death He made atonement for the sins
of the world. We believe He arose from the dead, He ascended
into heaven, He is now interceding for His people, and He will
personally return to receive His own.
We believe in God the Holy Spirit, who came forth from God the Father
to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment, and to
regenerate, indwell, sanctify, and comfort those who believe in Jesus
Christ as Savior.
We believe that all men by nature and by choice are sinners; that God
sent His Son to save men from sin. Those who accept Christ as
Savior and Lord will rejoice forever in God's presence, and those who
refuse to accept Christ as Savior and Lord will be forever separated
from God unto everlasting punishment.
We believe that the true church, the Body of Christ, of which He is the
Head, is composed of regenerated believers. We believe that
the basis for membership in the local church is the individual's
personal acceptance of Jesus Christ by faith and the individual's
baptism by immersion. We believe that the local church is the
organized working force of Christ, united in worship, work, and
fellowship. We believe that to the visible church were
committed the ordinances of baptism and communion, for administration
and perpetual observance. We believe that to the church was
assigned the task of local and world evangelism. We believe
that individual human betterment and social improvements are inevitable
results of such a gospel.
We believe the church should be independent and autonomous.
We believe in the separation of church and state.
We believe that every human being is accountable to God for the conduct
of his life. We believe that the individual is personally
capable of communing with God and the only mediator is Jesus Christ.
